Right at any Cost?
You may have met the type of person who is only satisfied with the result of a conversation if they “win” the argument. Or, you may be that type of person yourself! Perhaps you (or they) are driven by a desire to demonstrate competence and are absolutely convinced of the rightness of your position. In the final analysis you may want to consider whether it is more important to be right, or to move forward, and moderate your position accordingly.
