Come Here and Talk to Me
Trying to carry on a conversation across a physical distance is ineffective at best. Have you ever shouted from one end of the house, to a child or a partner at the other end? When they answer, you can’t quite hear them, so you shout again “come here and talk to me”. This kind of raised voice communication increases stress levels and reduces our ability to understand each other. When you have something to say, cross that crowded room or walk up the stairs before starting the conversation. You will improve both transmission and reception…and avoid a sore throat!
