When People Waffle

If you are the kind of person who makes decisions quickly based on the information available, you probably believe the indecisive are put on this earth to make you miserable. What you are encountering, however, is their need to keep all options open until the last possible moment. Once a decision has been made, a certain course of action is required. While you find this liberating because it allows you to move forward, for your counterpart it is incredibly confining to commit to a decision when a better solution might be just around the corner. Neither of you is intent upon torturing the other, you are simply working in different ways to make the best possible decisions.
