What's the Rush?

By the time the employees hear about pending change, implementation is usually upon them. Change agents transmit a sense of urgency that leaves many employees wondering “what’s the rush”. In most cases, there are good business reasons behind the need for speed. Events in the market place take time to impact the bottom line. By the time the financials raise alarms, the company is already playing catch up. While it comes as a complete surprise to most employees, justification for the change has been building over time. To avoid being taken off guard by change, remember there is a lot going on beyond your radar screen. In today’s environment of increasing change and competition, it pays to be a change scout: “be prepared” for change.
