Common Language

Communication between people is no different than communication between computers. First there must be a physical connection made; with wires in the case of computers, via the spoken or written word for people. Second there must be an established protocol. Internet Protocol (IP) is the common web language for computers. Well, IP works for people too…Interpersonal Protocol. The key to communicating successfully with all types of people is to “speak their language” or “match their protocol”. Look for common ground so that your communication efforts connect.
