Listen for Impact

Often when we are passionate about something, we continue talking and pressing our viewpoint long after our words can have any impact. If the person we are talking to tunes out, more words, or repeated words, are wasted. The greater our capacity to listen for feedback and gauge reaction, the better chance we have of making an impact. If we honour the person we are with by listening attentively to what they have to say, when we do speak, our words will resonate and be heard.
